I love food that has loads of colour in it. We eat with our eyes first, so anything that looks bright and natural really floats my boat. And it doesn’t get brighter than my Super Green Winter Wellness Smoothie!
This is a great way to start the day if you’re feeling wiped out, exhausted or simply a bit run down. Try it before you hit the gym for an extra energy boost!
I used frozen spinach, as fresh greens are really expensive at the moment, but of course fresh works perfectly too.
Super Green Winter Wellness Smoothie
Ready in 5 minutes. Serves 1
- 50g frozen spinach (about 2 frozen balls)
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- 1cm cube of fresh ginger
- 1 banana
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tsp Lifestream Bioactive Spirulina Balance
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blitz, and serve immediately with a sprig of fresh mint.
