When I’m not creating content for Eatscooksreads, I write for various other publications on a host of other topics, some food, some not.
This is a feature I wrote for the Herald on Sunday about the food I was given when I was in hospital earlier this year. It generated a lot of discussion, and I was contacted by dozens of people about their own experiences, very few of which were positive.
While I believe many of the workers are doing their best, the standard of our hospital food simply isn’t good enough. Why, when we can make great food on planes, and even in prisons, can’t we give good nutrition to people in hospital, who need it more than anyone else?
