Royal wedding fever? Celebrate by ditching the plastic


Are you excited for Harry and Meghan’s wedding on Saturday? What will she wear? How does the Queen feel about her grandson’s choice of bride? Will Harry shave off his beard? And who will wear the best hat – after all, who can forget the stunners worn by Beatrice and Eugenie at William and Kate’s wedding? Not me – or SodaStream, who have turned the memory of the sisters’ – and some other – fascinating fascinators into an opportunity to celebrate the wedding, and a way to join the fight against the frightening amount of plastic pollution going into our oceans.

SodaStream, the world’s largest sparkling water brand, has created a set of exclusive limited-edition bottles featuring hat designs sported by female royals, in celebration of the upcoming wedding of His Royal Highness Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

The Royal Edition bottles are to be auctioned, with all proceeds donated to ‘Surfers Against Sewage’ – an officially chosen charity of the royal wedding, which is fighting against plastic pollution.

The set of miniature hats has been created using state-of-the-art 3D printing and is 100% recyclable. Each of the five exclusive hat designs is inspired by an iconic look previously worn by members of the royal family. The concept was imagined by the Israeli innovation agency, Gefen Team, and developed jointly with SodaStream’s Global Marketing Team.

As a driving force behind the removal of single-use plastic from the world, SodaStream is thrilled to shed light on this global hazard by donating proceeds to this charity chosen by the royal couple.
